“ Autumn & Love “

This is a third part of triptych " One Life's Poem " or " Short Life of One Leaf "

Name is " Autumn & Love " or " Between and after 50-75"

A composition of two leaves and flower against the Sun.

Nothing makes life more beautiful than seeing the next generation living in peace and love.

As the autumn leaf falls from the tree, it finds joy in knowing that life will continue as long as love exists.

Autumn in eternal love

Mamorino plaster panel 24x24 inches was prepared for this project in December 2007.
Semi-precious stone Onyx, scale of Mohs 4.2,- 4.8 (deposit Balochistan, Pakistan) collection of 2004-2007 years and semi-precious sone Lapis Lazuli, scale of Mohs 5.9,- 6.4 (deposit Badakhshan, Afghanistan) collection of 2008
Stone mosaic 15 inches diameter in bas-relief on the top of marmorino panel, started on August 2023, finished in July 2026. Mosaic created by 12 pieces of Onyx and 2 pieces of Lapis Lazuli. Stone was collected, cut into pieces then polished and glued together by clear epoxy. Using the classical techniques of Florentine and Ural masters of semi-precious stone, added in my approach differs in the way the composition is created. Stone dictates the shape, structure, and color patterns in final composition. I believe that final image of the artwork should be guided by the natural pattern of the stone, emphasizing the unique beauty created by nature. LED lights installed inside of the panel behind the mosaic for viewing natural reflections of light. The stone is translucent and interacts with light, revealing additional depth of its natural structure. Light reveals the beauty of the stone hidden in deep, same as art can illuminate the darker sides of life.
